In 1972, The Raymond-Hadley Corp. was sold to one of its larger wheat flour customers. Raymond continued in the new owners' employ for a time but was growing weary of the city life, so soon after resigned and left for the fresh air in the beautiful Finger Lakes area of upstate New York. RHC felt his absence and convinced him to sell for them again via phone with frequent travel to the metropolitan NYC area and islands of the Caribbean. In 1977, RHC needed a co-packer – so Raymond partnered with his nephew, Joseph, and started a new co-packing business named Candor Specialty Packaging (CSP). The company began with three employees, one packaging machine, and just two customers. The original packaging machine and the initial two customers are still with RHC today. In 1981, The Raymond-Hadley Corp. was offered for sale once again. This time Raymond convinced his brother, Gennaro M. Maratea, to purchase the company with him. In 1989 CSP and RHC were merged under the Raymond-Hadley Corp. name. Today, ownership of the Raymond-Hadley Corp. has passed from Raymond & his wife Lori to their twin sons Jacinto (CEO) & Gianni (CFO), and their nephew Elliot Dutra (COO).


Today, the company packages and manufactures many different baking mixes made with organic, healthy ingredients that serve grocery chains and restaurants across the country.
